Surgical Patient Treatment Coordinator
Guilla is a Filipina-American who was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and she is bilingual in both English and Tagalog. Guilla began her career in the medical field in Optometry, and then continued her development at Seton Medical Center in the Department of Surgery and Radiology. Guilla’s core philosophical strengths and interests lie in direct patient interactions, and she is responsible for numerous tasks across a variety of platforms to help patients navigate the complexities associated with surgical treatment at San Francisco Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
As our Surgical Patient Treatment Coordinator, Guilla not only handles scheduling for Dr. Temlock at San Francisco Periodontics and Dental Implants, but she also works with your insurance carrier to identify and maximize your eligible benefits. She works tirelessly to cut through the insurance bureaucracy to pre-authorize treatment and understand your benefits plan, and it is her goal to ultimately help our patients comprehend their insurance carrier’s benefits and contracts. Guilla truly enjoys helping patients understand their treatment plans by providing education and empathy, and she feels a tremendous amount of pride when she is able to help patients complete their treatment with a positive experience. Guilla excels in new challenges, and she is constantly pursuing improved and streamlined patient communication to expand patients’ experiences navigating the difficult dental insurance marketplace.
When she’s not in the office, Guilla enjoys competitively training for powerlifting competitions. Don’t let her small size fool you though! Her personality, tireless work ethic, and empathetic demeanor are just some of the characteristics that make Guilla stand tall compared to others in this complex and demanding role!
