Shirley was born in Fiji, but she moved to the Bay Area with her family at a young age to pursue her education and career. As such, she is bilingual in Hindi and English. With nearly fifteen years of experience in the dental field, it’s hard to find something Shirley isn’t knowledgeable about regarding our industry! Shirley began her dental career as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), and she amassed years of hands-on patient experience as well as office and practice management skills. Shirley maintains her Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. She regularly attends continuing education programs to learn more about our Periodontics, Sedation, and Surgical Techniques. She is a sponge for new knowledge and material, and she is always looking to increase her professional acumen to better assist our patients.
As Director of Operations, Shirley is responsible for managing the daily processes across the entire organization. She is the glue that holds everything together at San Francisco Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, so you will most certainly come in direct contact with her at some point throughout your experience. Shirley excels in direct patient interactions and communications, and her diverse experiences in various, complex roles and situations make Shirley truly one-of-a-kind. If there is anyone who can find the correct answers to the most difficult questions and scenarios, Shirley is the woman who working tirelessly behind the scenes to find the solution. She works endlessly for both patients and our organization to support a seamless transition from the very first patient contact through the final hug at the end of treatment!
In her spare time, Shirley enjoys painting, reading, and playing with her dog, Simba. When she is not in the office, she can often be found globetrotting to somewhere fun! With so much energy, we all have a hard time keeping up with Shirley!
